Shelley Yeates
/ Categories:

Inland Revenue and ACC have indicated that from 1 March 2020 they will no longer accept payments by cheque, from customers who are able to use an alternative payment option.  There are various other options for making payments, including:

  • Electronic payment via internet banking,

  • By debit or credit card over the phone,

  • Cash or EFTPOS are still payment options, but only at Westpac Branches.

  • They’re not accepted at Inland Revenue or ACC offices,

  • Direct debit in myIR (Inland Revenue) or MyACC for Business (ACC),

  • By monthly instalments via MyACC for Business, for ACC payments due.

At this stage Inland Revenue and ACC have not clearly indicated under what circumstances they will still accept cheques
